While the main topic of this site is dog food, we can’t forget our feline friends so we wanted to talk a bit about Solid Gold Cat Food.
I personally have not used it (I don’t have cats) but my mom and my cousin both swear by it. Indigo Moon All Life Stages Cat Food
Indigo Moon Cat Food is dry and comes in 4 and 15 lb bags. It is high in protein, low in carbs and completely grain/gluten free. It is formulated to closely resemble what a cat’s natural diet should be. It contains chicken meal, fresh chicken and ocean fish.
The first 10 ingredients are: Chicken Meal, Potatoes, Canola Oil, Chicken, Natural Chicken Flavor, Salmon Oil, Ocean Fish Meal, Choline Chloride, Dried Chicory Root and parsley flakes.
Katz-n-Flocken Cat Food (lamb)
Katz-n-Flocken is also a dry formula that comes in 4 and 15lb bags. This product was recently reformulated by Solid Gold and is ideal for both kittens and adult cats. It has a minimum of 34% protein.
The first 10 ingredients are: Lamb, Chicken Meal, Millet, Brown Rice, Ocean Fish Meal, Cracked Pearled Barley, Canola Oil, Natural Flavor, Salmon Oil (source of DHA), and Flaxseed.
Blended Tuna Canned Cat Food
Blended Tuna is a canned food that comes in 3 oz and 6 oz sizes. Three of it’s main ingredients are tuna, tapioca and canola oil. It works well as a stand-alone food or it can be mixed with dry food or used as a special treat.
Chicken, Turkey, White Fish & Liver Canned Cat Food
This canned food comes only in a 5.5 oz size. It is pate style and suitable for cats at all life stages. The top 10 ingredients are: Chicken, Chicken Broth, Turkey, White Fish, Chicken Liver, Brown Rice, Barley, Guar Gum, Oatmeal and Potassium Chloride.
